Advancing Diversity Council focuses on employment diversity and the diversity of thought, experiences, ideas/creativity, investments and skills. The Advancing Diversity Honors and Hall of Diversity event, held annually during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the marketing, media and advertising community’s leading initiative to recognize and honor best practices and solutions for advancing diversity and inclusion.

Advancing Diversity Council programs and events:

  • demonstrate and promote media, marketing and advertising as a welcoming home for all young people beginning their careers
  • send a clear message of our industry’s commitment to diversity

Future of Men Council pioneers a necessary conversation on the state of gender relationships and fathering, focusing on molding better men and better male role models, providing marketers with insights for marketing to the next generations in a rising world of female influencers and power shifters. Our mission is to:

  • empower collaboration and advance the best ideas for redefining and expanding the scope and perception of fathering and masculinity in a balanced, positive and productive context
  • acknowledge and gain positive marketing insights on the current wave of exposure of male harassment
  • set an agenda for preparing young men and women for the new gender realities confronting them in the future
  • provide tools to help marketers communicate responsibly and effectively with younger men who are increasingly unresponsive to traditional marketing messages and techniques
  • recognize and embrace new male behavior that is required for health and happiness at work, at home, and in relationships.

1stFive Council focuses on advancing talent acquisition, retention and leadership development initiatives in the marketing community. Prioritizing multi-cultural diversity, the 1stFive Council supports our members’ talent acquisition and retention needs and provides counsel to entry-level talent. 1stFive organizes:

  • experiences to help young people navigate the first years of their careers
  • mentoring and initiatives to provide opportunities and experiences available beyond their day jobs
  • the 1stFive Summer Intern Experience, creating a welcoming environment and contacts that may last them throughout their careers
  • job fairs in association with colleges and universities and at leading events such as CES
  • intensive Fellowship programs that immerse future leaders in career expansion programs
  • college loan relief programs

Social Gatherings: In addition to members-only dinners, events and programs, JACK MYERS KnowledgeExchange hosts regular cocktail gatherings in major cities for networking and valuable conversations.

Career Support: KnowledgeExchange is developing a confidential online career center to support members seeking new opportunities and those in the market to hire talent. AdvancingDiversity, Legends & Leaders, WomenAdvancing and 1stFive initiatives incorporate acquisition and development programs to identify and place talent through the planned KnowledgeExchange Career Center. Membership: Individual membership is limited to brand marketers and C-Suite contributors to marketing decision-making.
