Privacy and Data Ownership/Value tops my list of the most critical ten issues confronting media companies, advertisers and media agencies for the decade. I no longer read business books. Been there, done that for too many years. Stimulation comes from reading many other sources. My current obsession seems to be evolutionary theory. And there are few better to read than Stephen Jay Gould. I prefer him to evolutionary reductionists just as I push away from all sorts of reductionism in every field imaginable. Video is a big deal and will only continue to grow. Cisco projects Internet video traffic will be 69% of all global consumer Internet traffic in 2017. But video isn’t a big deal solely because of scale. According to comScore, 64% of viewers are more likely to make a purchase in an online store after viewing a video.
