Turner and OMD Deliver Multiple Outstanding Entries in Myers Annual Awards

Several media agencies and media suppliers submitted multiple entries in the fourth annual Myers Media Creativity and Innovation Awards Program. During the past several weeks, we have presented the winning entries along with details on each individual winner. Both Turner and OMD, along with several other companies, received multiple awards in the honorable mention, bronze, silver and gold categories. The overall quality of their entries has earned them the 2007 Thomas F. Leahy Awards for Media Creativity and Innovation. Thomas F. Leahy was a CBS executive who rose from local sales to president of the CBS Television Network and Broadcast Group in the early 1980s. Many former CBS executives now look back at that era and acknowledge that Leahy's leadership, creativity and innovation was inspired and ground-breaking. Leahy was responsible for establishing the television industry's first integrated marketing unit and he was an active advocate of implementing new techniques and strategies for new business development. Leahy was also an advocate of investment in new media, including cable, although CBS executives at the time were less enthusiastic. He was a great boss and an outstanding and honorable executive. Tom passed away a few years ago; these awards have been established to recognize his early industry leadership and to assure his name and the principles he stood for are remembered and honored.

Following are the multiple award winning entries submitted by Turner and OMD that earned them the 2007 Thomas F. Leahy Awards. Links are provided to read the details of each entry reported previously in Jack Myers Media Business Reports.
