IFC introduced the band ZO2 to members of the Television Critics Association on Friday with a late-night bash in the penthouse of the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The footage below includes opening comments from IFC and Sundance Channel president Evan Shapiro and his special guest Joan Rivers, who is featured in ZO2's upcoming semi-scripted IFC series, Z ROCK.
In the series, ZO2 guitarists and real life brothers Paulie Z and David Z and drummer Joey Cassata play a fictional band leading a double-life: By night they are a hard-partying rockers, but by day they play children's birthday parties.

Joan Rivers, incidentally, plays the band manager's aunt. Other celebrity guests who will appear in the show include Sebastian Bach, Gilbert Gottfried, The Whitest Kids U'Know and Dave Navarro. Watch for the premiere of Z ROCK August 24 on IFC.

This Friday, ZO2 returns to Ball's Sports Bar & Grill in a surprise appearance - with another surprise!
At 10 pm, Friday, July 18th, Ball's Sports Bar & Grill will host the first public airing of the pilot episode of ZO2's "Z Rock".
And at 11 pm, ZO2 takes the stage for a full live performance to rock out and celebrate with RI!
Starring ZO2's band members, Paulie Z, David Z and Joey Cassata, "Z Rock" is a semi-scripted comedy inspired by the band's real experiences. Series regulars include Lynne Koplitz, Jay Oakerson and Alison Becker, along with recurring special appearances by Joan Rivers, John Popper of Blues Traveler and Greg Giraldo. Other guests include Dave Navarro, Sebastian Bach, Dee Snyder and Gilbert Gottfried. The series premieres on IFC on Sunday, August 24th.

The guys in ZO2 are totally great and offer up lots of laughs.
I can't wait to see the whole series. According to the IFC website the show premieres on Aug 24.
